About Silent Hill 3 The-Dark-Games.com

Silent Hill 3 continues the series’ trademark brand of psychological horror and terrifying gameplay. As a teenage girl named Heather, players must explore and unravel the mysterious connection between the god-forsaken town and her inner fears. with enhanced graphical detail, a more complex storyline, and even more grotesque monsters than the previous games, silent Hill 3 promises to be the best horror adventure ever.

It is the second game to be released on the PC and PlayStation 2, and unlike Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 4: The Room, it was never ported to the original Xbox. The game was developed by Team Silent and published by Konami, and it launched in North America on August 6, 2003. The plot begins Seventeen years after the events of the first game, and the baby whom the Incubator gave to Harry Mason at the end of the first game, Heather Mason, is now a teenage girl. The main character, a young girl named Heather, is a child saved by Harry Mason from the hands of the occult organization Order. 17 years after the destruction of their former “God”, the cultists reappear in Heather’s life, claiming her rights. Now the girl will be immersed in her own nightmares, bloody battles with monsters and cruel cultists, as well as a return to the accursed city. Harry took Heather into his care to raise as his own daughter

All of which is exacerbated by the ill health in which we find the game’s puzzles. Survival horror games traditionally thrive on fiendish problem solving, forcing the player to pierce through a fog of adrenaline and fear to defeat the conundrums that bar his path. But here the answers to your problems fall into place as easily as a jigsaw marked ‘for ages three and up’. Typically, the object needed to complete any given brain-teaser will be handed to you on a plate a few rooms previous, and all you need do is shuffle up to the puzzle in question and click to make things happen. Silent Hill 3 has three official end “Normal”, “Possessed” and “Revenge”, two of which can only be achieved with additional playthroughs and a certain number of points, depending on the player’s choice.

Originally planned to be a rail shooter, as a result of the initially slow sales of Silent Hill 2 in Japan, Silent Hill 3 was developed almost simultaneously alongside another installment in the series, Silent Hill 4: The Room (2004). Among the influences on Silent Hill 3 are the film Jacob’s Ladder (1990) and the works of horror novelist Stephen King. Silent Hill 3 sold over 300,000 copies by November 2003 and was well received by critics, garnering praise for its presentation, including the environments, graphics and audio, as well as the overall horror elements and themes that are continued from past installments; although there was minor criticism of the game’s short length, camera, and gameplay mechanics. Its plot was loosely adapted into the 2012 film Silent Hill: Revelation.

To aid in exploration, Heather obtains a flashlight and radio early on, the latter of which crackles when monsters are in proximity.[5] She can find “health” restoratives, such as first aid kits and energy drinks; beef jerky, used to lure monsters away from her path; and a range of firearms and melee weapons to fend off monsters.[3] She can also block and perform side-step maneuvers to avoid enemies.[2] Heather will also update any relevant maps of the area with notes for locked doors, inaccessible areas, and potential clues to puzzles.[6] While the floor plans of the various environments largely remains consistent between reality and the Otherworld, certain areas may be rendered inaccessible in the Otherworld, with barriers or bottomless gulfs appearing in the street, for example.[2] The game also features unlockable weapons and costumes
